  • Dr. Sam Adeyemi on Leadership, Mindset, and the Power of Shifts

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief In a world constantly evolving, leadership remains a critical skill for success. Few understand this better than Dr. Sam Adeyemi , an internationally renowned keynote speaker, executive coach, and author of the newly released book SHIFTS: 6 Steps to Transform Your Mindset and Elevate Your Leadership. With over 3.6 million social media followers, Dr. Adeyemi is a guiding force for aspiring leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs seeking transformative change. “SHIFTS is about transforming your entire approach to life, leadership, and success,” Dr. Adeyemi explains. “By making shifts in both your conscious and subconscious mind, you can unlock new possibilities and experience profound change, empowering yourself to become the leader of your own life, as well as guide those around you toward positive transformation.” Born and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Adeyemi’s journey into leadership was not a straightforward path. His father, a civil servant who later ventured into construction, laid the foundation for a business-oriented mindset. However, by the time Dr. Adeyemi completed his degree in civil engineering, the family business had collapsed, leaving him to navigate a challenging job market. For nearly two years, he struggled to find work, facing deep frustration and uncertainty. It was during this period of adversity that he turned to personal development, immersing himself in books on success, mindset, and leadership. One of the first books that changed his perspective was Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do by Robert H. Schuller. The idea that “attitudes are more important than facts” was a revelation that altered his mindset. “I realized that whatever pictures dominate our minds and the emotions we attach to them shape our reality,” Dr. Adeyemi recalls. “That understanding shifted everything for me.” While working as a site engineer, he simultaneously served as a youth pastor, a role that naturally fit his growing passion for leadership and mentorship. Eventually, he left engineering to take on a full-time leadership role in the church. A few years later, he launched Success Power, a radio program aimed at teaching leadership and personal growth principles. His voice resonated with millions across Africa, sparking a movement that would define his career. As his influence expanded, Dr. Adeyemi recognized the widespread gaps in leadership, not just in Nigeria but globally. This realization led him to pursue advanced studies in leadership, earning a master’s degree in the UK and later a doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University in Virginia. His expertise became sought after by C-suite executives, government officials, and business leaders worldwide. Through his work at Daystar Leadership Academy and Sam Adeyemi Global Leadership Consulting, he has mentored thousands, equipping them with the tools to lead with integrity, vision, and purpose. Yet, his latest book SHIFTS is perhaps his most impactful work to date. The book presents a structured methodology for transformational leadership, breaking it down into six actionable steps: See, Hear, Insight, Formulate, Transform, and Succeed. The core idea is that change starts with perception—what leaders see and hear consistently influences their subconscious, shaping their actions and, ultimately, their results. Dr. Adeyemi emphasizes that true leadership is not about titles or positions but about influence. He challenges the conventional notion that leadership is reserved for those at the top, arguing instead that everyone has the ability to lead. “The biggest mistake people make is thinking leadership is about power or authority,” he says. “Leadership is about influence. It’s about recognizing the potential in others and helping them grow. A true leader is a broker of talent, not a commander of followers.” One of the most common challenges leaders face, he explains, is resistance to change. Many attend conferences, read books, and get inspired to implement new ideas, only to find their efforts thwarted by deeply ingrained habits within their organizations. According to Dr. Adeyemi, the reason most transformation efforts fail is that they don’t align with existing subconscious patterns. “The human mind operates like a system,” he explains. “When something becomes routine, it gets pushed into the subconscious, running on autopilot. This is why people struggle to break bad habits or why organizations resist change.” To create lasting transformation, leaders must intentionally shift the culture by influencing what their teams see and hear daily. This means reinforcing the organization’s vision, modeling the desired behaviors, and creating an environment where new mindsets can take root. Dr. Adeyemi’s personal journey is proof of this principle. Early in his career, he experimented with visualization techniques, writing down his goals and placing them where he could see them daily. To his surprise, those goals began materializing one by one. “If you see and hear something consistently, it programs your subconscious,” he says. “That’s why advertising is so powerful. That’s why culture shapes behavior. Leaders need to be intentional about creating an environment where the right messages are reinforced every single day.” With SHIFTS , Dr. Adeyemi provides a practical roadmap for leaders to harness this power and implement sustainable change in their personal and professional lives. The book is not just about leadership in the corporate sense—it’s about leading in every aspect of life, from family to community to business. Dr. Adeyemi’s influence extends beyond books and coaching. His YouTube channel and social media platforms serve as ongoing sources of motivation and education for millions. His philosophy is clear: everyone has the capacity to lead, and leadership starts with shifting the way we think. As the world faces increasing challenges, the demand for effective leadership has never been greater. Dr. Adeyemi’s message is a timely reminder that transformation begins from within. Whether you’re a CEO, an entrepreneur, or simply someone looking to take control of your own life, SHIFTS offers the tools to unlock your potential and lead with impact. For those looking to dive deeper, SHIFTS: 6 Steps to Transform Your Mindset and Elevate Your Leadership is available now at major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Target. Dr. Adeyemi continues to inspire and challenge individuals to embrace their leadership potential, proving that the right mindset can create limitless possibilities.

  • ROKiT Homes Offers Hope and Shelter for Wildfire Victims

By Robert White,  Editor-In-Chief In a world increasingly beset by natural disasters and housing crises, Jonathan Kendrick, co-founder of ROKiT Homes , is championing a solution that combines innovation, sustainability, and compassion. Kendrick, along with his business partner John Paul DeJoria, is on a mission to redefine housing with affordable, durable, and versatile homes designed to meet the needs of those in crisis, including the thousands affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. “The devastation caused by the wildfires is staggering,” Kendrick says. “Entire communities have been wiped out, leaving families with nothing but uncertainty. ROKiT Homes can provide immediate relief—giving people a place to live while they rebuild their lives.” A Revolutionary Housing Solution ROKiT Homes are prefabricated, flat-packed structures that can be assembled in as little as 90 minutes. Built with galvanized steel and designed to last over 30 years, these homes are equipped with modern amenities, including electricity, air conditioning, and fully functional bathrooms. “These aren’t just shelters,” Kendrick emphasizes. “They’re homes—safe, secure, and comfortable spaces where people can begin to heal.” The idea for ROKiT Homes took root in Kendrick’s research into post-World War II housing in England. During that time, prefabricated homes were built rapidly to accommodate those displaced by bombings. “These homes were meant to last ten years, but many are still standing today, some even recognized as historical landmarks,” Kendrick explains. Inspired by this resilience, he envisioned a modern equivalent that could address today’s housing challenges, from homelessness to disaster recovery. Helping Wildfire Victims The need for ROKiT Homes is especially urgent in wildfire-prone areas like California. Kendrick sees these homes as a critical solution for those whose houses have been destroyed. “Imagine being able to place a ROKiT Home on a family’s property while they rebuild. Their children can go to school, and they can start getting back to normal life,” he says. However, Kendrick has encountered significant obstacles in implementing his vision. “The red tape is overwhelming,” he laments. “Zoning regulations and bureaucratic delays make it almost impossible to act quickly, even in emergencies.” To overcome these challenges, Kendrick is pursuing innovative strategies, including plans to build an ROKiT Village on unzoned federal land. “I want to show people what’s possible,” he says. “We could have a functioning community in place within 90 days.” Compassionate Capitalism Kendrick and DeJoria’s approach to business is rooted in what they call “compassionate capitalism”—the idea that companies can be profitable while prioritizing social impact. This philosophy is evident in ROKiT Homes’ affordability. Basic units can be rented for as little as $5 per week, while larger, fully equipped homes are available for $200 per month. But Kendrick’s commitment doesn’t stop at providing shelter. He offers a pathway to homeownership for renters, turning his vision of compassionate capitalism into a reality. “After five years, we transfer the deeds to the residents,” he explains. “This transforms them from being homeless to homeowners, giving them a sense of stability and pride.” Beyond the U.S. While Kendrick is focused on addressing the housing crisis in the United States, ROKiT Homes are also making an impact internationally. From housing initiatives in El Salvador to collaborations with Native American tribes, the homes are being used to address a wide range of housing needs. “The beauty of these homes is their adaptability,” Kendrick says. “They’re equally suited for urban neighborhoods, rural communities, or disaster zones.” A Call to Action Despite the challenges, Kendrick remains determined to make ROKiT Homes a cornerstone of housing solutions worldwide. “The need is too great to ignore,” he says. “We have the technology and the capability. Now we just need the will to act.”

  • Soren Hansen Is Launching a Solo Career And Embracing A New Chapter In Music

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief For over a decade, Soren Hansen was known as one of the driving forces behind the platinum-selling alternative rock band New Politics. From electrifying global tours to hit songs like "Harlem," his journey with the band was a whirlwind of success. Now, Hansen is stepping into the spotlight in a different way, forging his path as a solo artist with a sound that is raw, intimate, and deeply personal. His self-titled debut solo album, released in 2024, marks a return to the essence of music for Hansen. "I never thought I would be on stage ever again," he admits. "Suddenly, I started getting the urge. I created some songs I really loved, and I was proud enough of this music to want to play it live." Hansen’s music has always been a reflection of his life experiences, and this new chapter is no exception. Growing up in Denmark, he moved frequently and never quite felt settled. Music became his sanctuary. At just 12 years old, he picked up a small keyboard gifted by a friend’s family and began crafting melodies before he even learned to play formal songs. His passion for music only deepened as he grew older, leading him to the formation of New Politics. However, after years of success, he found himself at a crossroads. "I took a step back after New Politics went on hiatus," he explains. "I didn’t know if I wanted to make music again. But eventually, I realized I had so much to say, and I needed to say it through music." That realization led to the creation of his solo album, a deeply personal collection of songs that explore themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. This spring, Hansen is unveiling an EP featuring stripped-down renditions of five tracks from the album, including his latest single, " All Of Me (Stripped) ." "This was one of my favorite songs to record," he says. "I wanted to make it all about the vocals and strip it to its bare bones. I’ve always loved the song for its simplicity, and even though it was written in Nashville, it takes me back to Copenhagen and a period in my life when I felt like I was standing at a crossroads. I chose music, and I will forever be grateful for that." The stripped-down versions of his songs provide a window into Hansen’s soul, offering fans an unfiltered look at his artistry. His ability to channel deep emotions into music is something he takes seriously. "I think it's important to capture honesty in songwriting," he says. "If you can do that, other people will connect with it too." Hansen's songwriting process is fluid, often beginning with a melody or a soundscape before lyrics take shape. "Sometimes I just let gibberish come out, and then I figure out what the song is about from there," he shares. "I love collaborating with great lyricists too. Simple lyrics can be powerful, but they can also be cheesy if not done right. I like to get a fresh perspective to make sure a song has depth." His latest songs, including " I Got You " and "Water Under the Bridges," showcase his range as an artist. "I Got You" is an uplifting anthem about resilience and finding joy in life, while " Water Under the Bridges " is a deeply personal reflection on anxiety. "I’ve always dealt with anxiety," Hansen admits. "That song was like an F-you to anxiety, but also an acceptance of it. It’s part of my life, but it doesn’t have to define me." Now based in Nashville, Hansen has embraced the city’s collaborative spirit, working with talented musicians and songwriters to bring his vision to life. "The music industry can be cutthroat, but in Nashville, it feels different," he says. "It’s about making music you love and supporting each other. I want my friends to win. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them succeed." As for what’s next, Hansen is eager to hit the road. "I’ve played a few shows here and there, but I’d love to tour more," he says. "I’ve already written half of a new record because the inspiration keeps flowing. If a band out there wants an opener, I’m ready!" One thing is certain—Soren Hansen is embracing this new chapter with open arms. "I want to have fun," he says. "I don’t want to take anything for granted. I got to a point before the New Politics hiatus where I wasn’t enjoying things anymore. Now, even if a song comes from a dark place, it’s still made with love." For fans eager to hear more from Hansen, his music is available on all streaming platforms, and he remains active on social media, sharing updates on his journey.

  • Rebekah Lewis and Onyx + Petal Elevate Everyday Luxury

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief Rebekah Lewis is no stranger to reinvention. Before launching her brand, Onyx + Petal , she spent two decades in the retail and fashion industry, navigating everything from sales and customer engagement to management and operations. But it was her personal struggle with severe skin and fragrance sensitivities that ultimately led her down a new path—one that would redefine luxury skincare for those like her. “I had this ‘aha’ moment years ago,” Lewis shares. “I realized that what we put on our skin actually goes into our bloodstream. That awareness changed everything for me.” What started as a personal need soon evolved into a mission. Lewis began crafting small-batch skincare products for herself, later sharing them with friends and family. The overwhelmingly positive response made it clear—there was a real demand for clean, non-toxic self-care products that didn’t compromise on quality or effectiveness. Onyx + Petal was born from that necessity, but also from something deeply personal. Raised in a large family with limited means, Lewis learned early on that luxury wasn’t always about extravagance. Her father instilled in her an appreciation for life’s “simple little luxuries”—a lesson she carried into her brand. “Whether it was a great cup of coffee or a long walk in nature, those small indulgences made a difference,” she recalls. “I wanted to create a self-care line that felt like an everyday luxury, one that was clean, effective, and beautifully simple.” Simplicity, however, doesn’t mean cutting corners. Transparency is at the heart of Onyx + Petal. “I wanted to eliminate the guesswork,” Lewis explains. “You shouldn’t need a chemistry degree to understand what’s in your skincare.” Every product is formulated with plant-based, fragrance-free ingredients, making them safe for even the most sensitive skin types. From moisturizers to candles, each creation is meticulously crafted to ensure that purity and efficacy go hand in hand. One of the brand’s standout products, the Petal Body Drip, embodies this philosophy. Infused with rose, sandalwood, and citrus, it was inspired by the very first balm Lewis ever made—a formula that quickly became a customer favorite. “Every product starts with intention,” she says. “It has to serve a purpose, and it has to bring joy.” Beyond skincare, Onyx + Petal is built on a commitment to environmental responsibility. The brand’s products are housed in premium ultraviolet glass for longevity and recyclability, and shipping materials are carefully chosen to minimize waste. It’s a holistic approach—one that considers both people and the planet. For Lewis, the journey from retail executive to entrepreneur wasn’t always easy, but it was always purposeful. As a Black woman in business, she recognizes the importance of representation in the luxury space. “It’s about making sure we have a seat at the table,” she says. “Luxury is for everyone, and I want to show that we belong here, too.” From her California roots to her current home in the Pacific Northwest, Lewis has infused every aspect of Onyx + Petal with meaning. Even the brand’s name reflects the balance she strives for—Onyx, symbolizing strength and resilience, paired with Petal, a nod to softness and femininity. “We all carry both,” she notes. “And knowing when to embrace each is its own kind of beauty.” As Onyx + Petal continues to expand, Lewis remains dedicated to the simple luxuries that started it all. “Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated,” she says. “It just has to be intentional.”

  • Asher Adelman Revives Ancient Skincare with Stone and Spear

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief For Asher Adelman, the journey to founding Stone & Spear was not just about creating a business—it was about rediscovering an ancient secret to healthy skin. As a certified nutritional therapy practitioner, Adelman had long been conscious of the connection between diet and wellness. But it wasn’t until he asked himself a simple question—what’s really in the products we put on our skin?—that he realized the same clean principles he followed in his diet needed to apply to his skincare. “I was eating clean, avoiding processed foods, and making sure everything I consumed was beneficial for my health,” Adelman explains. “Then it hit me—what about the stuff I’m putting on my body every day? Your skin absorbs what you apply to it, so I started looking at my soap, deodorant, and other products, and I didn’t like what I saw.” That realization led him to tallow, a skincare ingredient that has been used for thousands of years. Derived from rendered beef fat, tallow is packed with essential nutrients, including vitamins A, D, E, K2, and B12. It mimics the natural oils found in human skin, making it an ideal moisturizer that enhances the skin’s barrier function. With that knowledge, Stone & Spear was born, bringing tallow-based skincare back into the modern world. Adelman’s passion for health didn’t come from theory—it came from personal experience. Despite being active throughout his life, participating in sports like soccer and wrestling, he struggled with chronic health issues from a young age. “I had joint pain, chronic back pain, migraines, and GI issues for as long as I could remember,” he says. “I also dealt with anxiety and ADHD-like symptoms, but back then, no one really talked about that kind of stuff. I just thought, ‘This is my life. I just have to deal with it.’” As he entered his 30s and 40s, his symptoms worsened, and traditional solutions weren’t helping. Out of desperation, he started exploring alternative approaches and discovered the profound impact that diet could have on overall health. “I started eliminating processed foods, focusing on nutrient-dense whole foods, and within a couple of months, I felt better than I ever had,” he recalls. This transformation led him to become a certified nutritional therapy practitioner, helping others discover the same benefits of clean eating. But it also set the foundation for his next realization—if clean eating was essential, clean skincare had to be just as important. While searching for a truly natural skincare option, Adelman came across tallow, an ingredient widely used for centuries before the rise of synthetic skincare. “The first soaps ever made, thousands of years ago, were made from animal fat,” he says. “It was only recently that the industry moved to chemical-based formulations because they were cheaper and easier to mass-produce. But just because something is widely used today doesn’t mean it’s the best option for our skin.” Tallow-based skincare is deeply nourishing, providing hydration without synthetic additives. “A lot of people are hesitant at first because they think, ‘Beef fat? Really?’” Adelman says with a laugh. “But once they try it, they’re blown away. Their skin feels softer, more hydrated, and healthier than ever before.” His commitment to purity extends beyond tallow itself. Every product at Stone & Spear is crafted with the highest quality, 100% grass-fed tallow and carefully selected natural ingredients, including beeswax, lanolin, and essential oils. “We refuse to use anything synthetic, artificial, or inflammatory,” he emphasizes. “Many of our customers have severe skin sensitivities and can’t use conventional products. Our mission is to give them a truly natural, nourishing alternative.” Stone & Spear started with a single product—tallow soap—but quickly expanded due to customer demand. “People would try the soap and love it,” Adelman says. “Then they’d say, ‘I wish you made a lip balm,’ or ‘Do you have a moisturizer?’ So we listened and developed new products.” Now, the company offers a full range of skincare, haircare, and even cosmetics. Their lineup includes face creams, lip balms, deodorants, and most recently, 100% natural perfumes and colognes. Despite the expansion, their philosophy remains the same: simple, clean, and effective products rooted in nature. “The modern skincare industry is built on selling people chemicals they don’t need,” Adelman says. “We’re proving that nature already provides everything necessary for healthy skin.” With Stone & Spear gaining momentum, Adelman is looking forward to the future. “We have some exciting new products in development,” he teases. “Some in skincare, some in cosmetics, and some in hair care. We’re always innovating, but we stay true to our mission—everything we create has to be 100% natural and beneficial to the skin.” For those new to tallow-based skincare, Adelman recommends starting with the basics. “Our moisturizing face cream and lip balm are game-changers, especially in cold or dry weather,” he says. “And of course, our soaps are where it all started. People are always amazed at how much better their skin feels after switching.” Adelman’s journey is more than a business venture—it’s a mission to change the way people think about skincare. “I wish we could go back in time and see what people did before chemicals took over,” he says. “Our ancestors used tallow for a reason—it works.” For those looking to experience the benefits of truly natural skincare, Stone & Spear is leading the way. Their products can be found at StoneAndSpearTallow.com , and updates on new releases are available through their newsletter and Instagram ( @stoneandspearskincare ).

  • Chad Wade’s Journey from the Streets to Business Success

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief Chad Wade is not your typical entrepreneur. His journey from small-town Kentucky to becoming a successful business owner and author is anything but conventional. As the CEO of UNS Wholesale, one of the leading wholesale distributors for smoke shop owners in the U.S., and the owner of three retail smoke shops in Louisville, Wade has built an empire from the ground up. But his path to success was shaped by lessons learned not in a classroom, but in the real world—a journey he shares in his book Street Smart: How to Start a Million Dollar Business and Run it Like a Weed Empire. Growing up in a lower-middle-class household, Wade quickly understood the value of hard work. “We had everything we needed, but it never seemed like enough,” he recalls. His life took a defining turn when his father’s business went bankrupt, an event that left a lasting impression. “I remember exactly what my parents were wearing when they told me. I told myself that day—I swear this will never happen to me.” That promise became the driving force behind his relentless pursuit of financial independence. Before he became a legitimate business mogul, Wade was deeply involved in an underground industry—selling marijuana at a scale most wouldn’t believe. “At my height, I was moving about 3,500 pounds a week,” he admits. But the success was short-lived. He was eventually caught and sentenced to federal prison, a turning point in his life that would ultimately redefine his future. Unlike the chaotic and violent depictions of prison life in movies, Wade’s experience was different. It became an unexpected classroom where he met some of the most brilliant financial minds—people convicted of white-collar crimes who had built empires of their own. “I wasn’t learning crime; I was learning money. Stocks, real estate, logistics—these guys were teaching me things I could never have learned anywhere else,” Wade explains. When he was released, he was determined never to return, using the knowledge he gained to build a legal business from the ground up. Wade’s entry into the legitimate business world began with retail smoke shops, which he scaled to six locations. But the real game-changer came when he tapped into wholesale distribution. What started as selling overstock in Facebook groups quickly turned into a full-fledged business. “We didn’t even have a website at first. We were just posting in groups and moving product. Next thing you know, it felt like we had another store running 24/7.” Eventually, he expanded into a 25,000-square-foot facility, manufacturing his own detox product line and dominating an industry that had once been on the fringes of legality. His book Street Smart is a testament to everything he learned along the way. It breaks down the principles of running a successful business by using the same strategies that built his underground empire—understanding markets, knowing your customers, and creating a system that keeps people coming back. “It’s really a product-based book,” Wade says. “Whether you’re selling TVs, cars, or clothing, the fundamentals remain the same.” One of his core philosophies in business is taking care of people. “Employees need to feel valued. A paycheck isn’t enough. A kind word, some food—it goes a long way,” he explains. He also emphasizes the importance of customer connection. “People buy from people they like. You have to greet every customer, know their buying habits, and really listen to what they want.” Today, in addition to running his businesses, Wade offers coaching, masterclasses, and one-on-one mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs. “People were reaching out, asking for help. So I developed coaching programs, just like the mentorship I got in prison. If someone needs guidance, I’ll even fly out and work with them personally.” For Wade, success is about more than just making money—it’s about breaking cycles, proving that transformation is possible, and sharing the knowledge that helped him turn his life around. “The guys I learned from in prison told me, ‘Never come back.’ I made that promise, and I’ve kept it to the letter.” Chad Wade’s story is proof that with the right mindset, street smarts can take you just as far—if not further—than traditional education. His book Street Smart is a must-read for anyone looking to turn their hustle into a thriving business. For more on his story, coaching programs, or to grab a copy of his book, visit ChadWadeTV.com .

  • Bearbottom Clothing Delivers Adventure-Ready Style with a Mission

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief In a world of fast fashion and fleeting trends, Bearbottom Clothing has established itself as a brand that stands for quality, purpose, and versatility. Founded by Robert Felder in 2014, Bearbottom was born from a desire to create menswear that seamlessly blends comfort, durability, and modern style. But beyond the clothing itself, the brand carries a deeper mission—one rooted in ethical manufacturing, sustainability, and giving back to communities in need. The inspiration for Bearbottom came in 2012 when Felder visited Bangladesh as a high school student. Seeing firsthand the need for stable jobs and basic necessities, he returned home with a vision to make a meaningful impact. He realized that by creating a brand dedicated to high-quality clothing, he could also provide jobs in one of the world’s largest apparel-manufacturing countries. The company launched with a buy-one-give-one model, initially donating shorts to children in Bangladesh and India. As the brand evolved, so did its mission. Today, for every item sold, Bearbottom donates a school meal to a child in India, with over one million meals provided to date. Past initiatives have also included donating over 100,000 shorts and 275,000 protective masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the core of Bearbottom’s success is a commitment to craftsmanship. Every item is meticulously wear-tested by the team to ensure it meets the brand’s high standards. Designed for an active lifestyle, Bearbottom’s pieces combine stretch fabrics, performance-driven features, and thoughtful design elements that allow for maximum movement and all-day comfort. The result is a lineup of wardrobe essentials that transition effortlessly from work to weekend, from city streets to outdoor adventures. Among its most popular items is the Stretch Chino Pant, a slim-fit staple crafted from a premium cotton-spandex blend. Featuring an elastic waistband for the perfect balance of flexibility and structure, these chinos provide a polished yet relaxed fit. The Lounge Hoodie, formerly known as the Loft Hoodie, is another standout piece. Made from Bearbottom’s signature buttery-soft Lounge fabric, it delivers an unmatched level of comfort and stretch, making it an ideal option for travel, lounging, or casual everyday wear. The Corduroy Snap Overshirt, another customer favorite, embodies the brand’s ability to merge rugged durability with timeless style. Constructed from heavyweight 8-wale stretch corduroy, it offers substantial warmth without feeling restrictive. Designed for layering, its easy snap-button closure and garment-dyed finish create a vintage-inspired aesthetic that pairs effortlessly with a classic tee or henley. Its relaxed fit makes it a go-to outer layer for cooler temperatures, while the dual chest pockets add both function and character. Beyond its product lineup, Bearbottom remains dedicated to sustainability and ethical production. The brand has taken significant steps to reduce its environmental impact, using post-consumer recycled materials, natural dyes, and manufacturing processes that minimize waste. Every piece is made with integrity, ensuring that workers in the supply chain are treated fairly and operate under ethical working conditions. The company has built strong relationships with production partners, going beyond industry standards to uphold its values of responsible sourcing and quality craftsmanship. When I had the chance to try out the Corduroy Snap Overshirt in Oat, I immediately understood why Bearbottom has such a loyal following. The first thing I noticed was the fabric—substantial and textured yet soft to the touch. Unlike traditional corduroy, which can sometimes feel stiff, this overshirt had just the right amount of stretch, allowing for effortless movement. The garment-dyed finish gave it a lived-in, vintage look, making it feel like a well-loved favorite from day one. The fit was relaxed but not overly loose, offering a great balance between structure and comfort. I typically wear a large, but if you prefer an oversized fit for layering, sizing up would be a great option. The snap-button closure was another thoughtful touch, making it easy to throw on and take off, while the antique metal buttons added a subtle yet stylish detail. The dual chest pockets provided both a functional and aesthetic appeal, and the overall craftsmanship made it clear that this piece was built to last. After wearing the Corduroy Snap Overshirt multiple times, I found it to be incredibly versatile. It worked well as a lightweight jacket on crisp mornings and as a stylish layering piece in the evening. Whether paired with jeans and a tee for a laid-back look or worn over a henley for a more refined style, it proved to be a wardrobe essential. Bearbottom’s dedication to quality was evident in every stitch, and this piece reinforced why the brand has become a trusted name in men’s fashion. Bearbottom Clothing isn’t just about creating great apparel—it’s about delivering products that align with a purpose. With its commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and giving back, the brand offers a refreshing alternative to fast fashion. For those looking for everyday essentials that blend performance, comfort, and timeless style, Bearbottom is a name worth knowing. Explore the collection at bearbottomclothing.com and experience the difference for yourself.

  • Ela Lane Brings Sustainability and Luxury to Bedding

By Robert White, Editor-in-Chief When you slip into bed at night, the last thing on your mind is the impact your bedding has on the environment. But for Tanvir Chowdhury, founder of Ela Lane , every thread tells a story—one of sustainability, ethical craftsmanship, and a deep respect for both people and the planet. Ela Lane is not just a bedding brand; it is a movement toward mindful living. In a world where fast fashion and mass production often overshadow ethical sourcing, Ela Lane sets a new standard by prioritizing sustainable materials, fair wages, and eco-conscious practices. “Bedding is something we use every single day,” Chowdhury explains. “If we can make a small change in how it’s made, the impact over time is massive.” The foundation of Ela Lane’s bedding begins with its materials. Sourced from Portugal, the brand’s organic cotton is ethically farmed, free from harmful chemicals, and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. These certifications ensure that every piece of fabric meets the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility, giving consumers peace of mind with every purchase. For Chowdhury, the journey to creating Ela Lane was personal. Growing up, he found comfort in the simple act of making a bed. But as he learned more about the textile industry, he became aware of the unseen struggles of cotton farmers—many of whom were exposed to toxic pesticides, suffered from deteriorating health, and watched their land degrade. “I couldn’t ignore what I saw,” he says. “I wanted to build something that not only provided comfort to people’s homes but also honored the people who make it.” Ela Lane ’s mission extends beyond sustainable bedding. The brand is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, committing a portion of its sales to environmental initiatives that support communities in need. “It’s about more than just selling a product,” Chowdhury notes. “It’s about creating a cycle of good—good for the customer, good for the workers, and good for the Earth.” As Earth Day approaches, Ela Lane offers an easy way for consumers to make a meaningful switch to sustainable living. With a collection of organic bedding that blends luxury with responsibility, the brand makes sustainability attainable without compromising on comfort. “Sleeping well isn’t just about how soft your sheets feel,” says Chowdhury. “It’s also about knowing that what you sleep on was made with care, ethics, and respect for the planet.” For those looking to refresh their homes this spring, Ela Lane provides an invitation to embrace sustainability—one restful night at a time. • Sangeetha Shinde on The Unseen Goddess and Giving Voice to the Forgotten

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief Sangeetha Shinde has spent decades telling the stories of those whose voices are rarely heard. As a prolific Indian journalist and author, her latest novel, The Unseen Goddess, is a powerful testament to her lifelong commitment to shedding light on the struggles and triumphs of marginalized women. Released on International Women’s Day 2025, the book explores the life of Madhuri, a young girl from the slums of Chennai, capturing the resilience, suffering, and ultimately, the strength of women often unseen by society. “I wanted to put a human face to the suffering, to the bravery, to the courage, and to the resilience of these women,” says Shinde. “They endure unimaginable hardship, and yet they persevere. Their stories deserve to be told.” Shinde’s journey as a writer began early. At the age of 14, she won a national essay contest on world peace. Though she never intended to become an author, writing became her way of understanding the world. Growing up in a small town in the mountains of South India, she found herself drawn to storytelling, first as a form of personal expression and later as a tool for advocacy. Her journalism career has taken her across the globe, holding editorial positions with The Times of India, Living Well Magazine, and Aspire Magazine, among others. But it is through her books that she has made the deepest impact. Her latest work, The Unseen Goddess , is inspired by a real woman she met while living in Chennai. One day, while looking for a housekeeper, Shinde was introduced to a woman with a warm smile and quiet grace. She hired her on the spot, unaware that this simple decision would shape a novel years later. “I made her a cup of tea and handed it to her in one of my best China mugs,” Shinde recalls. “She looked at it and said, ‘I don’t want to pollute it. May I use my own cup?’ She ran downstairs and returned with a cracked plastic mug. I was horrified. Here was a human being who genuinely believed that her mere touch could make something impure.” This moment was a turning point. Over time, as the woman shared more of her life story, Shinde became acutely aware of how deeply ingrained social hierarchies shape the lives of India’s poorest women. Her housekeeper had been bought and sold three times. She lived in an eight-by-ten-foot shack, walked miles for water, and never had the luxury of imagining a different future. Yet, despite her hardships, she exuded a quiet dignity and generosity that left a lasting impact. “She was the most beautiful, gracious, and kind-hearted person I had ever met,” Shinde says. “And yet, society saw her as invisible. I needed to tell her story—not just for her, but for all the women like her.” Shinde has long been a fierce advocate for women’s rights, particularly in India, where gender inequality, domestic violence, and economic hardship continue to oppress millions. Her previous book, The Naked Indian Woman, explored the realities of domestic abuse, drawing from both personal experience and the testimonies of women she interviewed. In The Unseen Goddess, she brings a similar depth of understanding, but this time through the lens of fiction, blending real-world struggles with the transformative power of storytelling. The book’s title, The Unseen Goddess , reflects Shinde’s belief that strength and divinity reside in every woman, even those society chooses to ignore. “These women are the backbone of the world, yet they go unnoticed,” she says. “The title is both a tribute and a challenge—to see them, to acknowledge them, and to recognize their power.” Beyond her writing, Shinde has dedicated herself to empowering women globally. She has conducted workshops on creative writing and women's rights, spoken at European conferences on gender equality, and worked with survivors of abuse. Her activism has earned her numerous accolades, including the South Indian “Most Inspirational Woman of the Year” award in 2019. While The Unseen Goddess is rooted in the struggles of Indian women, Shinde is quick to point out that the themes of oppression and resilience are universal. “I’ve lived in Europe, in the UK, in Turkey. I’ve traveled extensively. And everywhere, I’ve found the same story—women who suffer in silence, who endure because they have no choice, who survive against all odds. This isn’t just an Indian issue. It’s a global issue.” Her goal with this book is not just to tell a compelling story but to spark a conversation. She hopes readers will see themselves in Madhuri, in her struggles and triumphs, and be inspired to take action in their own communities. “I want people to read this and ask themselves, ‘What can I do?’” she says. “Because change begins with awareness, with understanding, and ultimately, with action.” For those eager to dive into The Unseen Goddess, the book is now available on Amazon and at major retailers. Shinde’s work is a poignant reminder that behind every statistic, every headline, there is a human story waiting to be told. And through her writing, she ensures that these stories, and the women who live them, are never truly unseen.

  • Bridget Mulroy Talks With Us About How Porn Is Reshaping Our Future.

By Robert White , Editor-In-Chief In a culture where digital intimacy has become alarmingly common, investigative journalist and publicist Bridget Mulroy is pulling back the curtain on pornography’s hidden impact. Her latest study, published in Social Lifestyle Magazine, dives deep into how porn consumption is distorting relationships, influencing youth, and reshaping societal norms in ways we can no longer ignore. Conducted over six months, the study surveyed 500 voluntary participants—both men and women—offering an anonymous platform for raw and unfiltered truth. The results? A staggering majority of respondents confirmed what many have long suspected: pornography is eroding the foundation of personal relationships. “People think this is just about romantic relationships,” Mulroy explains. “But what we found is that it goes much deeper—into family dynamics, educational spaces, even friendships. It’s about secrecy, deception, and how exposure to sexualized content is shaping the way we interact with one another.” The Shocking Statistics Mulroy’s study revealed that: 96% of women surveyed considered a partner’s porn use a form of cheating. 99% of respondents admitted that secrecy around porn consumption had negatively affected their relationships. Beyond these statistics, the study uncovered a more profound issue: the way pornography rewires perceptions of intimacy and communication. Many of the participants described a common cycle—secretive consumption leading to dishonesty, which then spiraled into broader relationship issues. “The biggest takeaway? It’s not just the porn itself,” Mulroy emphasizes. “It’s the deception, the hiding, the erosion of trust. That’s what’s doing the real damage.” The Impact on Youth For Mulroy, the most concerning revelation was how young children are being exposed to explicit content at an increasingly early age. “A friend of mine found shocking search results on her nine-year-old’s tablet,” she recalls. “It made me wonder—how many parents are unaware of what their kids are consuming? And more importantly, how is this affecting the next generation’s understanding of relationships?” With platforms like OnlyFans shifting from a space for independent artists to a billion-dollar adult content hub, access to explicit material has never been easier. “We’re normalizing a culture where this is just part of everyday life,” Mulroy warns. “And if parents aren’t having these conversations now, the consequences will be irreversible.” The Psychological Toll Beyond personal relationships, Mulroy’s study also touched on the psychological impact of pornography. She spoke with Jeremy Lipkowitz, a men’s coach specializing in addiction recovery, who highlighted the shame many men feel about their consumption. “Men aren’t just hiding their porn use from their partners—they’re hiding it from themselves,” Lipkowitz shared. “Many don’t recognize it as an addiction, but it fuels anxiety, depression, and isolation.” Mulroy also collaborated with Mandy, a betrayal and empowerment coach who primarily helps women navigate the fallout from discovering a partner’s secretive porn habits. “Many of the women in our study felt deeply betrayed,” Mandy noted. “It wasn’t just about watching porn—it was about feeling replaced, lied to, and emotionally abandoned.” The Conversation We Need to Have Mulroy’s research makes one thing clear: this is not a fringe issue. This is a mainstream, culture-defining phenomenon that demands attention. As the debate rages on about whether porn consumption is harmless or destructive, one fact remains undeniable—its impact is real, and it is reshaping the way we connect with one another. “It’s time for people to start talking about this openly,” Mulroy urges. “Ignoring it won’t make it go away. We need to educate ourselves, our partners, and especially our kids. This isn’t about shame—it’s about awareness.” Her work is only the beginning of a much-needed dialogue. With more articles and studies on the horizon, Mulroy is determined to keep shedding light on the subject. For those looking to dive deeper, she encourages readers to explore the full study at Social Lifestyle Magazine. “Do the research yourself,” she says. “Come to your own conclusions. But don’t pretend this isn’t happening.” In an era where digital intimacy is more accessible than ever, Mulroy’s findings pose a crucial question: if we don’t address the influence of pornography now, what kind of relationships—and society—are we leaving for the next generation?

  • Caardia's Journey from Child-Pop to Alternative-Pop Sensations

By Robert White,  Editor-In-Chief Singing sisters Celia and Annie Siriopoulos, known collectively as Caardia , are embracing a new era of musical maturity with their latest single “Simple Is Better.” Hailing from Markham and now based in Toronto, these young artists are evolving from their child-pop origins into a sophisticated indie-alternative sound. At just 19 and 21, they already exhibit a depth of wisdom beyond their years, both musically and philosophically. Their new track is a powerful anthem about letting go of toxic relationships and simplifying life. It’s a message that resonates strongly with anyone who has had to disentangle themselves from situations that no longer serve their best interests. With its samba-like feel, “Simple Is Better” showcases the girls’ vocal prowess and mature sound, setting the stage for their forthcoming EP. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Celia and Annie to discuss their journey, creative process, and the inspiration behind their music. Celia, the older sister at 20, soon to be 21, and Annie, who is 19, have been singing together since they were very young. They started taking it seriously about eight years ago, beginning with vocal lessons and recording camps. They performed locally in Markham before moving into the Toronto scene. Over the years, they formed a solid band and have been writing and collaborating more, especially during Covid. Annie adds that with each milestone, they realized they could pursue music as a career. Their parents, though not musically inclined, are huge music enthusiasts. Celia and Annie grew up listening to classic rock and '80s music, thanks to their dad and mom. Their extended family, especially their grandparents and an aunt in Greece, are musically inclined. Their parents have been incredibly supportive, even helping with merch and other aspects of their career. Their younger sister sometimes gets annoyed with their constant singing, but their parents have always supported them, being their biggest fans. Caardia  is derived from the Greek word "kardia," meaning heart. It's an homage to the rock band Heart, which they grew up loving. The name also includes the initials of Celia, Annie, and their younger sister Ariana. They brainstormed the name with their mom and a friend's mom when they were about 14, and it just felt right. Both Celia and Annie play guitar, and Celia also dabbles in piano. Their creative process varies with each song. Sometimes the lyrics come first, and other times it’s the chord progression. For most songs on their EP, Annie took the lead on writing, with Celia providing feedback. They write a lot based on personal experiences, especially Celia’s, which often inspires their songs. Annie’s writing often helps Celia understand and process her own experiences better. Music is a form of therapy for them, and it’s amazing how Annie can capture Celia’s feelings in her lyrics. Their latest single, “Simple Is Better,” is about letting go of toxic relationships and realizing that simplicity in life is often better. The title came from a moment of clarity where Annie wished for a simpler, less confusing life. The lyrics reflect the emotional drain of complex relationships and the freedom to leave them behind. Celia adds that it’s about acknowledging that it’s okay to step away from things that aren’t good for you. They’ve always been people-pleasers, but this song is about learning to prioritize their own well-being. Their EP is quite diverse. “Over You” was their first release a few years ago. “Cherry Soda” marked the beginning of this EP project. “Is Till It Isn’t” deals with toxic relationships and the realization that they aren’t right for you. Each song has its own story and emotional depth. Celia shares that “Take Me Back” and “Self-titled” are songs where she shares her own drama. Their music often reflects their personal experiences and growth. Balancing their music career with personal life is definitely challenging, but they have a strong support system. Their family is very involved and supportive, which helps a lot. They also try to stay grounded and prioritize their well-being. Music is a big part of their lives, but they make sure to take breaks and spend time with loved ones. It’s important to find a balance. You can follow Caardia  on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok under Caardia Official. Their music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms. They recently released the music video for “Simple Is Better” on YouTube. Check it out and stay tuned for more music! Celia and Annie Siriopoulos, the heart and soul of Caardia , are not just creating music; they are crafting relatable stories that resonate deeply with their audience. With their new single “Simple Is Better” and an upcoming EP, these talented sisters are poised to make a significant impact on the indie-alternative scene. Their journey from child-pop to mature musicianship is a testament to their growth, dedication, and the unwavering support of their family and fans. Keep an eye on Caardia ; their star is on the rise. For more updates and to follow their journey, visit their social media pages and listen to their music on your favorite streaming platforms.
