Kim Greene Revolutionizes Security with Svalinn Protection Dogs

In a world where personal safety and peace of mind have become premium commodities, Kim Greene is redefining the concept of protection. As the founder and CEO of Svalinn, a Montana-based breeder and trainer of military-grade protection dogs, Greene has created a niche that merges security with companionship. Svalinn’s dogs are not only powerful deterrents to potential threats but also loving family members—a blend that sets them apart in the field of personal security.

Greene’s journey to creating Svalinn is as extraordinary as the dogs themselves. Her inspiration came from personal necessity. “I was pregnant with twins, living in a non-permissive environment, and couldn’t carry a firearm or have bodyguards,” Greene recalls. “I needed a guardian that could protect without compromising my lifestyle.” This led her to acquire her first protection dog, a Dutch Shepherd named Banshee, and eventually to establish Svalinn—a venture that has grown into a global phenomenon.

At Svalinn’s Montana ranch, the process begins early. Puppies are introduced to training at just eight weeks old, undergoing a rigorous regimen of obedience, socialization, and stability exercises. By the time they are placed with their forever families at two to two-and-a-half years of age, these dogs are highly skilled protectors and deeply bonded companions. “Our program is incredibly deliberate,” Greene explains. “It’s taken 20 years of refining our methods, ensuring that each dog is not only reliable but also well-suited to family life.”

The foundation of Svalinn’s success lies in the careful breeding of German, Dutch, and Belgian Shepherds, a mix that combines intelligence, temperament, and physical resilience. “Purebred dogs often have genetic weaknesses,” Greene notes. “Our crossbreeding approach ensures stability while maintaining the drive and connection that make these dogs exceptional guardians.”

While their $175,000 price tag reflects the meticulous training and care invested, Greene emphasizes the intangible value of owning a Svalinn dog. “Our clients aren’t just buying protection; they’re buying peace of mind,” she says. The dogs are trained to act as both deterrents and defenders, with only one recorded instance in 20 years of a Svalinn dog needing to deploy its protective skills. “That speaks to their effectiveness as a deterrent. Would-be threats look for softer targets.”

Beyond the physical protection they offer, these dogs become integrated members of their families. Svalinn’s comprehensive support doesn’t end at delivery. Families receive on-site training and follow-ups to ensure the dogs—and their owners—are fully equipped to handle any situation.

For Greene, Svalinn is more than a business; it’s a mission to empower individuals and families. “Our dogs give people the confidence to live their lives fully without fear,” she says. With only 18 to 20 dogs placed each year, the exclusivity of Svalinn’s offerings underscores their commitment to quality and personal attention.

Kim Greene’s dedication to excellence has made Svalinn a global leader in security and companionship. For those seeking a loyal guardian and a devoted friend, Svalinn’s protection dogs are the ultimate choice—a testament to Greene’s vision and the remarkable bond between humans and their canine counterparts.
